Our video clips are in the Windows Media 9 and Quicktime 6 formats, unless otherwise noted. Most playback problems can be solved by downloading and installing the latest versions of these players. Free player downloads: Windows Media and Quicktime. The video clips will have to be downloaded to your computer first before they will play. We have chosen this approach to give the highest possible quality video for the widest possible audience. If you connect to the Internet via a dial-up modem, each video clip can take several minutes to download. Please be patient, it's worth the wait! Most clips are around 3 or 4 megabytes and play about 30-40 seconds. TroubleshootingIf no video plays after clicking on a video link, you will likely need to download one of the video players. Once you have installed a player then go back and try the video link again. I have a player but the video still won't workMake sure you are waiting enough time for the video clip to download. This can take several seconds on high-speed connections and can take a few minutes if you have a dial-up modem connection to the Internet. Another issue may be that you have an older version of the video player and our videos require a newer version. Try downloading a newer version of the Windows Media player. The videos play but don't sound good or look goodTwo suggestions here: try downloading the video clip again and/or downloading the latest version of the video player. Technical support for each video player should be available on the respective web sites. If the videos stop intermittently or freeze during playback it could be due to a shortage of available memory. Closing other active/open applications can free up memory to make the video players work more smoothly.
